WHO WE ARE

Yellow Alert Foundation Overview

Yellow Alert Foundation, founded by Virtue Oboro, began with a mission to provide health education and equal access to healthcare for women in underserved communities in Nigeria. Our initial focus was on empowering women through healthcare education and improving access to essential medical services. However, as we engaged deeply with these communities, we identified a disturbing trend of Gender-Based Violence (GBV) such as Female Genital Mutilation, and various other ways vulnerable women and girls were marginalized. This experience expanded our mission to include combating GBV and advocating for the social and economic empowerment of vulnerable women and girls. Today, Yellow Alert Foundation is dedicated to uplifting women and girls, particularly those facing poverty, violence, and limited access to education and professional opportunities.

Let us join hands to support Yellow Alert Foundation in empowering vulnerable women and girls, combating gender-based violence, and providing access to essential healthcare and education.
